Here is an update on my life:
- I transferred to another health department doing the same thing I'm doing now, but closer to where I live. The drive is much better than driving over an hour. I've been working there for 3 months now and I've been doing well.
- My car got recently broken into. I have a Kia, so I believe it is due to that trend of teens trying to steal Kias and Hyundais to take joyriding. But they realized that they couldn't steal my car because I have a keyless ignition. They left me with a broken passenger-side window, a dented door frame, and they were even nice enough to leave the brick on the driver's side floor. My car is almost done in the shop. Insurance is nice to have.
- I switched back to my old birth control after having switched to a different one two years ago. The second birth control made me gain weight, experienced full-body inflammation, daily constipation, bloating, and a myriad of other symptoms. I switched back to my old one again and now it is 4 months later. My symptoms are slowly disappearing and I'm getting my energy back. I'm down about 6 pounds and will continue to exercise and eat well. My journey with my body image is extremely bipolar and I'm striving to feel better about it. It's a work in progress.
- I'm discovering resources on TikTok about ADHD and autism that relate deeply to me. I've been deprived of this information during my entire childhood, teenage years, and young adult years. I've been dwelling on all of my memories for the past 2 years of how I was and acted, and things are clicking into place. I'm not going to get into it during this bullet point, but all I'll say is this: girls are very good at masking their behaviors to fit in to appear like a normal girl. I've stimmed for years without realizing it was stimming.
